St. Elsewhere, E.R., Grey's Anatomy. TV has been home to some great medical dramas and now The CW is hoping to add to that legacy with the freshman dramedy Emily Owens, M.D.
Starring Mamie Gummer (The Good Wife, Off the Map), Emily Owens, M.D. follows a first-year intern who, while working alongside her best friend/crush (Justin Hartley) and her childhood nemesis (Aja Naomi King), must learn the hard way that hospitals are a lot like high school.
