To be eligible for Social Security Disability benefits, you must show that you are unable to do any kind of full time work for a period of at least twelve months. Benefits are not paid simply because you are unable to return to your former job. You must prove you are unable to work at all. The Social Security Disability application process can be a slow one. You may want to consider consulting with an attorney experienced in personal injury to assist you with the application process. For more information on disability benefits, contact a qualified attorney.
