309 year sentence for suspect in drug shootout

LITTLE ROCK, AR - A drug dealer who initiated a fatal gunfight with police has been sentenced to 309 years in prison.

34-year-old Harry Lee Porter, Jr. was convicted of attempted capital murder, manslaughter, two counts of first degree battery, drug trafficking and gun charges stemming from March 2010 raid.

As previously reported by Fox16, Porter is the man who shot Officer James Jenkins in both legs and struck Officer Chance Ketzscher in his bullet proof vest as the SWAT team conducted a drug raid at his Marshall Street home.

Porter will be required to serve 75 years before becoming eligible for parole.
