LITTLE ROCK, AR – A Searcy man was arrested Thursday night in connection to Sunday’s hit-and-run at Kavanaugh and Beechwood, in Little Rock.

Steven Kissinger is accused of running over Lois Sandusky in a Ford F-150. A witness says Kissinger hit Sandusky as she was crossing the street. According to the incident report, the truck stopped after the front tire rolled over Sandusky; Kissinger looked in the mirror then drove forward, rolling over her with the rear tire. The witness then stepped in front of the truck and asked the driver what he was doing before the truck sped away, according to the report.

Sandusky’s son say she suffered a partially collapsed lung, ten broken ribs, and damage to her shoulder that will require reconstructive surgery.

Kissinger is charged with hit and run with injury, carless and prohibited driving, and failure to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk.
