One killed in three car accident in Jefferson County

LITTLE ROCK, AR – A Louisiana woman died in a 3 car accident on Highway 79 south Wabbaseka Friday afternoon.

According to the Arkansas State Police, a car being driven by Scotty Holderfield travelling northbound on Hwy 79 crossed into the southbound lanes. Holderfield’s car sideswiped one car going southbound and ran head-on into a car being driven by Sandra Scott Oliver, 38, of Shrevport.

Holderfield and his passenger Debra Holderfield, both of Rison, were injured in the accident. The driver of the sideswiped vehicle was not injured.

Video shows one of the cars involved in the accident caught on fire. Highway 79 was shut down for about an hour after the accident, according to ASP.
