LITTLE ROCK, AR – The names of those involved in Wednesday night’s shooting death in Clark County have been released by the Arkadelphia Police.

According to police, David Stewart, 36, went to the home of John Chad Griffin, 42, located at 232 North 13th Street in Arkadelphia. Police say Stewart was at the home to visit Griffin’s female roommate.

Police say there was a verbal argument between the two men, which escalated to the point were Griffin shot and killed Stewart. Police believe that alcohol was a factor in the argument and shooting.

The female roommate and a 7-year-old were in the house at the time of the shooting, but were not injured in the dispute.

Griffin was arrested and charged with first degree murder.
