Store Clerk, Suspect arrested after Bryant Speed Zone robbery

BRYANT, AR – Two men were arrested after Bryant Police report that the Speed Zone store was robbed Thursday night.

According to reports, just before 10:00 pm on November 15, officials from the Bryant Police received a call regarding a robbery that just occurred at the Speed Zone on Reynolds Road.

The clerk on duty told police that a male subject ran into the store and demanded money. The clerk said the suspect was dressed in a dark colored hoodie with the hood closed down tight, appeared to be armed. The suspect took an undisclosed sum of money, and then fled the scene, running across Reynolds Road towards Chick-Fil-A and Lowes.

Officers responded to the Lowes area where the suspect, later identified as 18-year-old Justin Jamieson of North Little Rock, was soon spotted in the woods behind the Lowes Store. Jamieson was taken into custody and charged with aggravated robbery.

The clerk, identified as Jacob Clendening, was also charged with criminal conspiracy.

The investigation is ongoing.
