LITTLE ROCK, AR – A man going to the sheriff’s office to pick up a report Wednesday morning admitted to a deputy that he smoked marijuana prior to coming, according to the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office.

According to the report, a deputy was notified that a man at the records window smelled strongly of marijuana. The deputy followed the man, later identified as Leotis Rogers, outside as he walked towards to his car.

When the deputy got to Rogers’ car, Rogers got out to talk with the deputy. According to the report, the deputy told Rogers he smelled marijuana on him and coming from his truck and Rogers admitted to smoking a “blunt” before coming down to the sheriff’s office.

A search of Rogers’ car found a baggie with 14 baggies of marijuana in it. Rogers was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana with purpose of delivery and possession of a controlled substance within close proximity to certain facilities.

Rogers bonded out of jail that night on $10,000 bond.
