Train hits truck carrying rice

A train hit a truck carrying rice just outside of Pine Bluff.  It happened just after 11am near Highway 65 and Abernathy.

According to authorities, it doesn't appear that anyone is hurt. The driver of the truck did complain about some neck pain.

The truck tried to beat the train.  The train's engineer thought the truck would make it but realized he wouldn't clear the tracks when it was too late.

There was about $8,500 in rice on the ground and between $10 and 15 thousand in truck and train damages.
