Vice Chair of AGFC arrested in Lonoke

LONOKE, AR - Richard T. Watkins, Vice Chairman of the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission was arrested for public intoxication and disorderly conduct Tuesday.

According to Lt. Jim Kulesa, the Lonoke County Sheriff's Office received a report of a man banging on the windows of a residence and a business located next to the residence near the intersection of Highway 31 South and Highway 70.

A witness told deputies that the man, identified later as Watkins, fired a handgun into the ground.

Watkins was arrested without incident and taken to the Lonoke County Detention Facility.

There was no property damage or injuries as a result of the incident.
