2 year old girl remembered

Family and friends of a two-year-old girl killed when a church van ran over her after church, gathered at that same spot to reflect on her life Friday.

Anastasia “Anna” Garcia’s loved ones wore all pink as they released pink balloons into the air. Many of them wrote special messages on the balloons signifying their love for Anna.

The candlelight vigil was held at the United Pentecostal Church of Atkins. Anna’s grandmother is a member there and routinely made sure Anna and other neighborhood children made it to church on Sunday.

Relatives describe her as vibrant and say the girl sang “Jesus loves me” the day she died. Her parents have one other child, Isaiah, who is 5 years old.
