Friends and family gathered Wednesday night to remember the three lives lost in Tuesday mornings medical helicopter crash in Van Buren County. The community of Vilonia came together to pray and mourn the Air-Evac employees.

Pilot Kenneth Robertson, flight nurse Kenneth Meyer, Jr., and flight paramedic Gayla Gregory all died in that crash.

Hundreds of people gathered at the candle vigil at the helipad at the Vilonia Fire Department to pay their respects. And help support each other through this difficult time.

"They were wonderful friends, they were wonderful partners and they are going to be greatly missed by all of us."

"We wanted to get together and pay our respects for the people here in Vilonia and for the people who died. It's a sad situation, really for this town."

"Share your grief and share your stories. There are always stories to be shared with the people and what they did. EMS is a very close knit community."

"It's a brotherhood, and with brotherhood its just showing support."

"They were just a bunch of friendly people. Always willing to help no matter what."

"We just love each other and we just stay close. We are a close community, real close."

The families of the crash victims were not at the vigil. They are dealing with their grief in private. A funeral service for them is planned for sometime next week.
