LITTLE ROCK, AR -- Many are saddened by news of the singer's death, but for those who were aware of the star's recent struggles, it came as no surprise.
Little Rock's country music station KSSN 96's morning show fielded calls Monday morning about McCready's untimely death.
The singer became notorious for more than her music, as her personal struggles with addiction and depression were made public.
"You really feel like to a degree it was none of our business, but she was on 'Celebrity Rehab' and was putting it out there," KSSN 96 FM deejay Jennifer Trafford. "She had everything going for her, she was talented, beautiful."
Fans who called in to the show expressed their condolences and offered prayers to her two young sons.
