Drug deal turns deadly in Little Rock

A Little Rock man is in jail after a late night apartment shooting.  It is allegedly a drug deal gone bad.

Little Rock police officers got a call around 9:45PM Wednesday night.  When officers arrived at Marham Mesa Apartments, they found Frederick Tucker, 28, suffering from a gunshot wound to his chest.  Tucker was taken to a local hospital where he died.

According to authorities, Preston Williams, 22, has been charged with one felony count of murder in the first degree for the death of Tucker. He is being held at the Pulaski County Jail.    

Williams' vehicle was impounded and his apartment was secured by patrol officers until Homicide Detectives were able to secure search and seizure warrants.

Williams' was in Little Rock District Court Thursday morning and plead not guilty.  His bond was set at 2 million dollars.  The case has now been sent to circurt court.
