LITTLE ROCK, AR – Crowds enjoy mild temperatures and dry weather for this year’s Harvest Festival at Wildwood Park. Organizers say the annual festival celebrates the sights, sounds and aromas of autumn in Arkansas.

This year the event kicked off with the Paws on the Pavement RunWILD 5K run. The location is also home to Wildwood's Arkansas Pickin' & Fiddlin' Championship, which provides a background of bluegrass music for hay rides. There is a hay fort and pumpkin patch attracting the attention of youngsters, and vendors of Arkansas homemade crafts and wares are luring adults.

The event’s organizers say there is something for everyone to enjoy no matter what you age. There’s a miniature railroad and garden railroad displays, an iron forging competition, a culinary competition, lots of food and a variety of family arts activities. A special treat this year features Americana performances provided by Ballet Arkansas.

The event continues Sunday at Wildwood Park for the Arts, 20919 Denny Road, in Little Rock.
