Arkansas is trying to recover from the winter storm that dumped near record amounts of snow. While driving conditions were still dicey Tuesday morning, the wet heavy snow caused another problem, roofs caved in. That's what happened at a gas station at Baseline and Stagecoach. Luckily no one was hurt when the roof collapsed.

The weight of the snow and ice, didn't just destroy the gas station, it caused plenty of problems at Turtle Creek Apartments in West Little Rock.  The weight caused at least five carport covers to crash down on the cars parked underneath them.

"My neighbor was out walking her dog, she said, the awning just fell, there was a lot of commotion outside, I saw this awning come down on top of my truck," said Calvin Evans.  The carport fell right on top of Calvin Evans 4-Runner, minutes later, another carport fell on top of his company car, it wasn't damaged, but his 4-Runner was.

"So far it's damaged to the top, the glass, and sunroof, it's unsafe because it could continue to fall, so no ones going near their vehicles," Evans said.

Downtown in the Rivermarket, the snow caused the Amphitheater poles holding up the tarp roof to shift.  Shop the Rock Souvenir shop couldn't escape the storm either. The metal beams holding up the roof tarp snapped. Luckily while no one sat underneath.
