CONWAY, AR - From cell block to auction block. The Faulkner County Sheriff's Office will host an auction Saturday with most of the items for sale coming from seizures over the past two years.
In other words, if you've ever wanted to buy an actual crime scene, now you can.
"Somebody stole a phone booth, two phone booths, and threw them in a creek," said Major Andy Shock as he walked around the auction area pointing out items for sale. Those items include knives, guns, engines, 4-wheelers, a cast-iron dump trailer, 25 cars, and plenty of other atypical items.
Shock pointed to a car with white paint on the front windshield reading "burned interior." His take on it: "I don't know the circumstances, if he was behind on his payments or what the case was, but he thought it would be a bright idea to set his vehicle on fire starting with the driver's seat."
Only a few cars down the line, another windshield read "blood in vehicle." Said Shock, "we've got it big, 'blood in vehicle.' We want folks to understand that that is actually blood."
So basically, if you've got a need for something, anything really, you can probably find it at this auction.
That includes porcelain toilets that used to be in the Faulkner County Jail. Shock says porcelain toilets have no place in a jail because inmates can break them and use them as weapons. Apparently though, they've got a place at this auction.
It starts Saturday at 8:00am outside of the Faulkner County Jail. Potential buyers can get there at seven to look over the items.
