After Kris got through with his radio tour, he made a few more appearances. Even saw Governor Mike Beebe and First Lady Ginger. But these visits were closed to the public. And only open to FOX16.
Out of the limo, and into the Governors mansion. That's how Kris Allen rolls now that he's in the final three of American Idol.
"It feels surreal, it feels like I've been away for years, it's good to be back home, " Kris said.
"It's the most exciting thing, ever, on Wednesday, we got the news, it was the best day we've ever had, we are thrilled to be back in Arkansas," said Kris' wife Katy Allen.
"I think your success is the result of working hard. The more talents you have, the harder you work," said Gov. Mike Beebe.
Wherever Kris goes, even the Governors mansion, there's no shortage of fans.
Governor Mike Beebe says Kris is a great representation of the Natural State, and he's thrilled to meet him and welcome him home. "He's a class act. I'm excited for his success, he makes Arkansas proud," said Governor Beebe.
First Lady, Ginger Beebe is also a fan and gave Kris the grand tour of the mansion.
And after visiting the Governor's mansion, Kris gave some kids aboard the Arkansas Queen the surprise of their lives.
