LITTLE ROCK, AR – A Judsonia man was shot with an arrow when he walked into his house during an apparent burglary attempt Monday afternoon, according to the White County Sheriff’s Office.

The arrow did not have a tip and therefore the victim was not seriously injured. After a physical altercation, the homeowner was sprayed with mace by the bow and arrow wielding assailant, and the suspect ran away from the house.

Later that night, the victim heard noises in the lower level of his home, and deputies found 34-year-old Johnny Whaley and arrested him for residential burglary. The sheriff’s office says Whaley is associated with the other suspect.

The archer has been identified and formal charges are pending. Whaley, already out on $50,000 bond for Theft by Receiving as well as Possession of Narcotics, is in the county jail on $150,000 bond. His next court date is May 7th.
