LITTLE ROCK, AR – A man fleeing from police after a traffic stop ran through a Searcy cafeteria prior to being captured Thursday afternoon.

Brittany Eacret, with the Searcy Police, estimates the man was in Southwest Middle School for only a few seconds. School was in session at the time; however, no students were in the cafeteria.

Police arrested Michael Williams, 24, a few blocks from the school. Police say Williams was pulled over for a traffic stop around 2:35pm Thursday on South Olive Street. Williams ran to a door at the school, ran through the cafeteria, and out another door.

Police say Williams was not armed.

Some parents, who were at the school to pick up their kids, witnessed event.
