LITTLE ROCK, AR - The concept is big in cities like Austin, Portland and Minneapolis. And now Little Rock is jumping into the food truck court scene. Organizers are working to attract people to University Market at 4 Corners for a variety of lunch options.
It's the start of something with multiple food truck vendors in one spot. It’s designed to give more lunch options and to kick start revitalization in the area.
"This is part of that economic development engine which as you can see from the truck, it creates jobs, puts tax revenue into the city," Mark DeYmaz with Mosaic Church says
"It was supposed to be a soft launch and it kind of just took off," DeYmaz says.
Strategically located at University and Colonel Glenn near UALR, where an estimated 50,000 vehicles pass through everyday.
Organizers say there will be rotating food vendors with daily hours posted on the
University Market at 4 Corners Facebook page.
"I think this has kind of rolled off the idea that this is a momentum that we all want to get on board with,” Mike Juliano says. “We hope this grows into something fantastic."
