Pine Bluff mayor fires police chief
LITTLE ROCK, AR – Newly elected Pine Bluff Mayor Debe Hollingsworth fired police chief Brenda Davis-Jones Tuesday.
Hollingsworth says she appointed Jeff Hubanks as the interim Chief of Police. Hubanks is a retired police officer.
Davis-Jones was the Chief of the Fort Valley State University Police Department before being hired by the previous mayor, Carl Redus, in 2010. Redus lost his re-election bid to Hollingsworth in November.
