LITTLE ROCK, AR – A man accused of conspiring with his ex-wife to kill her current husband pleaded guilty to first degree murder Wednesday.

Faulkner County prosecutor Cody Hiland says Clayton Monsees will serve a total of 55 years in prison.

Monsees was arrested in March of 2012 for the shooting death of Billy Joe Ewing at the Ewing household in Faulkner County. Amanda Ewing was arrested a couple of weeks later and both were charged with capital murder.

Amanda Ewing is awaiting trial on her murder charge.
