CONWAY, AR - A 47-year-old man is behind bars after police say he left his 13-month-old son at home in Conway to go to a bar in Little Rock.

According to LaTresha Woodruff with the Conway Police Department, the child's mother called police from work saying she suspected her son was home alone.

She reported that her boyfriend, Joseph Garland Torian, sent her a picture of the child sleeping in his bed in Conway around 9:30pm, but a couple of hours later she saw that his iPad indicated it was in the River Market in downtown Little Rock, about a 40 minute drive away.

When she couldn't contact Torian, Woodruff says the frantic mom called police and her parents.

Once at the home on Highland Drive, officers say they found the 13-month-old crying in his crib. The boy's grandparents showed up to comfort him.

Little Rock police found Torian in a bar and arrested him.

According to the detective who questioned Torian, he admitted to leaving his son alone to go to a bar one time before when the child was only 7 months old.
