The city of Little Rock currently has the following locations barricaded;
- Van Lee at Rodney Parham
- John Barrow from I-630 to Kanis Road
- Bowman Road from Kanis Road to Colonel Glenn
- Chenal Parkway at to Chenal Blvd.
- Reservoir Road from Rodney Parham to Cantrell
While some streets are barricaded, some are not, and traveling right now can be treacherous. Use caution; look out for steep slopes, north facing terrain, and areas of shade where accumulation can be heaviest.
The snow has really been coming down, but is of such consistency that our plows are very effective. Not like some of the ice we get. We currently have all of our snow trucks, plows, and graders running to remove as much as snow as possible and apply the sand & salt mixtures. We are experiencing a number of problem areas due to stuck vehicles.
If you see the snow trucks, or other heavy equipment please pull to the side and allow us to proceed. We remind our citizens to really consider the necessity of venturing out in this weather.
