Smoking cessation
It might be best to use two different methods to help you stop smoking.  A new study out of Wisconsin compared five different smoking cessation medications - in more than 1500 adults.  They found the smokers using both a patch and a nicotine lozenge were more successful at quitting.  What's more they were more likely to quit after just seven days and had a longer period of time before relapsing.

Antibiotics and birth defects
Certain antibiotics could cause birth defects in pregnant women.  A new study found women who took sulfa drugs and urinary germicides were more likely to have babies with birth defects.  Researchers looked at 18,000 mothers for the study.  However doctors say more work needs to be done to figure out why this is happening.  Still the study's authors say it may cause doctors to change treatment for urinary tract infections.

Doctor’s on Call: RLS
My 4-year-old moves his legs when he's sleeping and digs his feet into you no matter how comfortable he is.  Could he have restless leg syndrome?

According to Dr. Oksana Melnyk, yes, RLS can also affect children, in whom it's sometimes wrongly dismissed as "growing pains," and can negatively impact both their physical and mental health. A family history of RLS and iron deficiency are the most common risk factors for the disorder in children. You have to see your pediatrician about it.
