Spousal benefits for widows and widowers who remarry is up for discussion tonight at Little Rock City Hall.

The Little Rock Board of Directors meets tonight at six o'clock to vote on whether or not to continue paying these benefits to surviving spouses.

Right now, under the policeman's pension and relief fund, it requires benefits to surviving spouses to stop if they remarry.

An Arkansas law that passed the general assembly back in 2003 allows boards to choose whether or not to continue paying benefits for spouses who remarry after they begin receiving the plan.
