A Little Rock teen is recovering from a wound to the foot after being shot in the parking lot of an apartment complex on the city's west side.

It happened around 3:30 Thursday afternoon at the Warren House Apartments on Reservoir Road.

When police arrived, they found the victim, a 16-year-old boy, lying on the ground outside Building F.

He told officers he had met the man who shot him only 30 minutes before it happened.

While the teen was being loaded into an ambulance he told police he could see the man who shot him a short distance away.

Police say the man he pointed out was handcuffed, questioned and then released.

At the hospital, a bullet fragment was removed from the teen's foot.

Police describe the suspect as a black man, 24-25 years old, 6'1" tall and weighing about 170 pounds. He was wearing a black head wrap, gray and black striped shirt, blue jeans and brown boots.
