A horse is recovering from surgery after the humane society says it was
dragged behind a moving truck.
Saturday, one of the top burn specialists at Arkansas Children's Hospital performed surgery on three-year-old "Lucky".
We're told he's standing up and is alert. Doctors say the next 48 hours will be critical to his recovery.
Authorities say the horse fell out of a trailer one week ago with a rope tied around his neck and was dragged.
Deputies arrested his owner 49-year-old Danny Ferguson and charged him with drunk driving. But humane society officials also want him charged with animal cruelty so far -- that hasn't happened.
