Update: LR homicide victim identified
LITTLE ROCK, AR – Police have identified Sunday’s shooting victim as 38-year-old Joseph McCardell.
Little Rock Police say McCardell was found with a single gunshot wound near the intersection of 18th and Schiller streets around noon on Sunday. Police say a 15-year-old, who may live at the home where the body was found, was at the scene when they arrived.
McCardell’s 2005 Nissan Titan was discovered abandoned near 22nd and Scott Streets around 4:11pm. The truck was towed from the location for crime scene processing.
Investigators did not find any forced entry into the home. Police are treating this as a homicide.
