Recap: Florida State vs. Savannah State

Tallahassee, FL (Sports Network) - Florida State pummeled Savannah State 55-0 on Saturday, despite pulling several starters from the game in the first quarter of a weather-shortened contest.

EJ Manuel went 11-for-13 through the air for 161 yards and threw for three touchdowns, and Rodney Smith caught three passes for 77 yards and a touchdown for the Seminoles, who have outscored their opponents 116-3 over its first two games this season.

Sheldon Barnes ran for 34 yards on 11 carrier and Antonio Bostick completed just 2-of-15 passes for nine yards for the Tigers, who haven't scored in 2012.

The game went into a delay in the second quarter, but later resumed with a running clock and a 10-minute halftime. The game was officially called with 8:59 remaining in the third quarter.
