Correia officially joins Twins

Minneapolis, MN (Sports Network) - Right-hander Kevin Correia officially joined the Minnesota Twins on Thursday, agreeing to a two-year, $10 million contract.

Correia spent the previous two seasons with the Pittsburgh Pirates, compiling 12-11 records each year while his earned run average dropped from 4.79 to 4.21 in 2012.

A 2011 All-Star, the 32-year-old Correia had spent his entire 10-year career in the National League, going 60-65 with a 4.54 ERA in 290 career games (159 starts) with San Francisco, San Diego and Pittsburgh.
