Portland, OR (Sports Network) - The Portland Trail Blazers acquired point guard Eric Maynor from the Oklahoma City Thunder during Thursday's trade deadline.

The Thunder will receive the rights to forward Georgios Printezis, as well as a trade exception Portland previously had received from New York in last July's deal that sent Raymond Felton to the Knicks.

Maynor, a first-round pick of Utah in 2009 who's averaged 4.2 points and 2.9 assists over four NBA seasons, will presumably serve as the main backup to Rookie of the Year candidate Damian Lillard in Portland. The 25-year-old had fallen behind 2011 first-rounder Reggie Jackson as the primary understudy to All-Star Russell Westbrook with the Thunder.

In 37 games with Oklahoma City this season, Maynor has averaged 2.8 points and 2.0 assists.

Printezis was a second-round selection of San Antonio in the 2007 draft but has spent his entire pro career in Europe, presently playing in his native Greece. The 27-year-old's rights were shipped to Portland from the Knicks as part of the Felton trade.

To make room for Maynor, the Blazers waived guard Ronnie Price. The 29-year- old journeyman averaged 2.7 points and 1.9 assists over 39 games with Portland this season.
