St. Paul, MN (Sports Network) - The Minnesota Wild on Monday dealt forwards Darroll Powe and Nick Palmieri to the New York Rangers in exchange for forward Mike Rupp.

Rupp is a veteran with Stanley Cup experience, having helped the New Jersey Devils to the title in 2003.

In eight games this season with the Rangers, Rupp, who doesn't shy away from physical play, had 12 penalty minutes and a minus-3 rating.

The 33-year-old Rupp has 53 goals, 41 assists and 765 penalty minutes in 565 career games with New Jersey, Phoenix, Columbus, Pittsburgh and the Rangers.

Like the 6-foot-5, Rupp, Powe has been held without a point in eight games this season.

Powe, a gritty forward with penalty-killing experience, has 28 goals and 56 points in 294 career games with Philadelphia and Minnesota.

Palmieri has spent the entire season with the Wild's AHL club in Houston. He had 10 goals and 11 assists in 40 games with the Aeros. He has played in 87 career NHL contests for New Jersey and Minnesota, recording 13 goals and 25 points.
