FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) — Arkansas pitcher Nolan Sanburn has been named to the watch list for the NCBWA Stopper of the Year Award.

Officials said Tuesday the sophomore is one of 45 pitchers on the watch list for the award, which honors the nation's top relief pitcher

Sanburn led the Razorbacks with eight saves last season, which ranked sixth in the Southeastern Conference. He finished his rookie season with a 2-4 record and a 3.62 ERA.

The initial list for the award will be updated at mid-season during the week of April 16. At the end of the regular season, the Division I national saves leader and four other relief pitching standouts will be selected as finalists.

The winner of the award will be announced during the 2012 College World Series.
