LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) — The Great American Conference football coaches poll predicts Henderson State will finish first in the league.

According to preseason rankings released Tuesday, the Reddies received four first-place votes and 57 points overall. Henderson State finished at 6-4 last season.

Ouachita Baptist and East Central tied for second in the poll with 54 points each. The Ouachita Baptist Tigers received two first-place votes and the East Central Tigers got two.

Harding came in fourth with 42 points and Arkansas Tech was fifth with 29. Arkansas-Monticello, Southeastern Oklahoma, Southern Arkansas and Southwestern Oklahoma tied for sixth with 22 points each.

Coaches didn't include provisional members Northwestern Oklahoma and Southern Nazarene in the preseason ballot. Both will compete in a full league schedule, but aren't eligible to win the conference championship.
